“Trump’s bold move in Iran marks a dangerous turning point, especially after his promises to avoid getting the U.S. entangled in unnecessary wars.”

President Donald Trump voiced confidence that his bold decision to directly support Israel dealt a devastating blow to Iran’s nuclear ambitions — despite growing concerns from both allies and critics that the U.S. could become embroiled in a broader regional war.

Speaking briefly from the White House on Saturday evening, Trump declared that American strikes had destroyed three major Iranian nuclear enrichment sites, stating that “the bully of the Middle East must now seek peace.”

Still, the moment is fraught with risk for Trump, who has long criticized past presidents for dragging the U.S. into what he called “stupid wars,” and has often insisted on keeping America out of another prolonged conflict in the Middle East.

“There will either be peace or tragedy for Iran,” Trump warned, adding, “If peace doesn’t come swiftly, we’ll target the rest with precision, speed, and strength.”
